Happy 20th Alex!

Alex is 20 and only 363 days until she is legal (but who's counting, right?).

We went horseback riding at Galena per her request. It was awesome.

We also went to dinner w/ Gloria, Nancy and Bill at Ciro and then a night on the town. At 3 AM (yes I stayed up that late!) we called it a night from the birthday festivities. Sunday morning Alex and I hiked up Baldy and took the chairlift down. Wish I had my camera-it was an amazing view and we had a great time.

Double Trouble

Our angelic June bug has a little problem with separation anxiety. She really loves her Mom and when I'm gone she likes to punish me. We tried again to see if June could handle being in the house with Cash like a big girl. From the photo below you can see she is back to being put in the kennel when we are out.

RODEO

If you haven't been to a rodeo, you haven't been to Idaho...Or something like that!

The rodeo was definitely interesting. As you can imagine the animal-loving QP family was having a tough time w/ some of the rodeo events. We cheered for the calves when they escaped roping, we laughed at the p*ssed off bulls and the dogs herding the bulls was our absolute favorite. People watching wasn't too shabby either!

Camping at Perkins

Our 'secret' camp spot was once again a successful camping trip.

We had great time and saw a decent amount of wildlife on our canoe trips (and even in the campsite). Sandhill cranes and their baby, a BIG bird, Antelope w/ a nursing baby, 3+ deer and supposedly a beaver (slapping his tail!).

It was nice to have Ian and Sarah spend some QT with the family-thanks guys!

M&D Visit

Mom and Dad are here!

We started the visit off with dinner at the Spud and then a weekend of camping, canoeing and hiking. Our hike to Heart Lake with Erin was really fun, we packed into the Element- 7 adults and 3 dogs. This hike is in the White Clouds where a large area burned 3 years ago. Obviously the burn brings new growth, there is a lot of green sprouting up through all the black.

Our river crossing at the beginning and end of the hike was pretty eventful. Luckily June almost drowned only once! Heart Lake has some big fish and Grizzly showed off her diving abilities (she really does dive under water!). Past Heart Lake we discovered some mountain goat fur and alot of slippery snow that we had fun sliding down on our feet and our butts.

Congratulations to David and Rachel!

Rachel was a beautiful bride and David was a gorgeous groom...

It was a very sentimental and super fun wedding!

Dance floor bumping and strong cocktails= awesome night!

So far, so good! We have been so busy working and playing the time is just flying by!
