Happy Halloweenie

Halloween is a time of carved pumpkins, awesome costumes and CANDY!

I have a dentist appointment Monday at 8AM and I'm worried!
Here are some pictures that I snapped around town.
First Halloween costume of the day- Kristin!

Breakers Marathon- Newport, RI

On the last day of my trip I ran the Breakers Marathon as a team with Sam, Alex and Laura. Our team name was 2 Hens and a Chick and Lau (we added her to our team later). It was pretty chilly but the course was very scenic and we had a good time. We each met or exceeded our personal goals for our legs. The best part was seeing Britt throughout the course as she ran her 3rd marathon this year!

Uncle Willie and Auntie Jenna- Boo Yeah!

This was our attempt to get a photo to frame of us with the kids. They are so adorable but getting them all to smile at the same time can be a challenge!
I think we did it!

Loon Pond

Papa and I took the 'big' kids- Anna and PJ fishing at Loon Pond. We didn't catch anything but we had fun (well we know Papa and I did).
Three of us were in the canoe but in the photo he's hiding. Maybe it's the pink life jacket.

Mt. Morgan, Mt. Percival Loop- NH

We drove up to my favorite state, NH to bring Alex back to school and to go on a hike. I chose Mt. Morgan, Mt. Percival loop because the view from the top is Lake Winnipesaukee which I WILL live on someday in the future. Unfortunately we were fogged in, big time. We didn't see any foliage or any lake but I am including a picture of what the view would have been like if we did get to see it! Regardless it was a great day with lots of laughs!

Apples, Pumpkins and Tractor Rides

We piled into the van and went to a farm for some apple picking, tractor rides and a pumpkin patch. Even GG walked around the orchard and the patch with everyone! The highlights of Nick's trip were the apples (his favorite even pumpkins are apples) and the cows (actually sheep but every farm animal is a cow).

CUTE AND A HAM! Is that UM?

Nantucket

My Dad has been working on Nantucket 1+ years now. He gave us the tour of his job site and we checked out some beaches, vineyards, farms, boats and the historic downtown. We took the ferry over with our bikes and had a great day of riding around.

Mini PC Reunion

Erin and Greg hosted a party for the PC crew at their terrific home in Chelmsford. They served us superb appetizers, we had a little DP, went to a delicious dinner at their local restaurant and caught up. It was so great to be together again. Amy, Erin and Kristen were roommates our senior year at Providence and Sam, Amy and I were roommates our junior/senior years. Sam was my roommate for all 4 years and there are still times I miss having her around! These girls are so beautiful inside and out.

Fall in New England

Over the next few blogs I will share my pictures and comments about my trip to visit family and friends in MA last week (October 2008). It was another great trip to see those that I miss and love. My niece and nephews just keeping getting bigger and bigger each time, six months is a long time away from little kids!

The week started out in Beverly, MA at the home of Ben and Carolyn Strain. Ben was Willie's college roommate at UNH. He and his lovely wife own a nice home and a sweet dog named Dudley (a puggle). It was a really good visit. Below is a picture of Dudley and one of Ben and Willie.
